Driver / Tow Motor Operator – 2nd & 3rd Shift
Location: Solon, OH
Pay: $21.00–$21.82/hour, depending on shift
Shift: 2nd & 3rd Shift
Hire Sync is hiring experienced Driver / Tow Motor Operators for a well-established food manufacturing and distribution operation in Solon, OH. This position combines local box truck driving with hands‑on material handling and tow motor operation.
Drivers are responsible for safely transporting products and materials between nearby facilities, loading and unloading inventory, and keeping materials moving efficiently to support production and distribution. This is a great fit for someone who is comfortable behind the wheel of a box truck but also enjoys staying active in a warehouse environment.
What You’ll Do- Drive a box truck to transport products, inventory, and materials between designated facilities
- Safely operate a tow motor/forklift to load, unload, stage, and move materials
- Operate electric pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed
- Identify, retrieve, and stage materials according to production and inventory needs
- Wrap and prepare pallets for safe transport
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks
- Read and follow production schedules, inventory information, and work instructions
- Follow FIFO and established material handling procedures
- Report inventory shortages, damaged or non-standard products, and other issues to management
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment
- Follow all company safety, food safety, quality, and GMP procedures
- Complete required documentation accurately
- Previous tow motor/forklift experience is REQUIRED
- Must be able to safely and confidently operate a tow motor in a fast‑paced environment
- Previous box truck driving experience strongly preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English to safely follow written work instructions, production schedules, safety procedures, and required documentation
- Strong attention to detail and basic math skills
- Ability to work independently and stay on task
- Comfortable performing both driving and warehouse/material handling responsibilities
- Ability to walk, stand, lift, carry, load, and unload materials throughout the shift
- Safety-focused and dependable with a strong attendance record
