Warehouse ManagerEssential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develops and implements policies and procedures governing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, equipment, and/or supplies.
- Supports the organization’s supply chain strategy through maintenance of appropriate inventory levels and timely distribution of goods.
- Tracks inventory by performing physical counts and verifying information against warehousing systems.
- Ensures warehouse operations comply with regulations governing materials handling, storage, and distribution where applicable.
- Complies with and enforces all safety regulations and procedures.
- Light manufacturing, mainly punching, bending, and cutting a variety of metals with use of power tools (chop saw, power drill, band saw).
- Oversee receiving and shipping operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Performs complex tasks typically following established processes.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customers and personal services.
- Bachelor's degree or at least 6 years of experience preferred.
- Ability to foster teamwork.
- Decision-making, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.

- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Unloading delivery vehicles and checking received items against purchase orders or bills of lading.
- Inspecting stock for damage, faults, or missing items.
- Labeling, sorting, and routing merchandise to the proper storage locations or departments.
- Physical lifting requirement: up to 55 pounds.
- Picking merchandise from storage locations based on work orders or pick lists.
- Packing items securely and applying accurate shipping labels to avoid routing errors.
- Loading outgoing trucks and shipping containers safely and efficiently.
- Physical lifting requirement: up to 55 pounds.
- Use of step ladder and rolling platform ladder.
- Physically counting and logging inventory levels.
- Rotating stock on shelves.
- Identifying discrepancies and reporting lost or damaged items to Purchasing.
- Physical lifting requirement: up to 55 pounds.
- Use of step ladder and rolling platform ladder.
- Safely operating material-handling equipment, such as forklift and hand trucks.
- Adhering strictly to health and safety regulations, which includes wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace.
