Job Description

Implement nursing process with inmates including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication, and treatment. Perform assessments and change dressings as needed. Monitor and ensure quality care through observation and evaluation. Document nursing interventions on medical records and report on the physiological and mental health status of inmates. Instruct inmates and staff regarding treatments and nursing plans. Respond to emergencies and maintain availability of medications and supplies.

Implement infection control services and develop educational materials for inmate education.

Critical Information

Shift hours: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts available. Per Diem - Minimum of 2 shifts per week.

Education / Licenses Needed

Registered Nurse license required.
