We are looking for a detail-oriented Entry Level Accountant to join our team in Somerset, Kentucky. In this role, you will support financial operations by ensuring accurate accounting processes and assisting with inventory and vendor management. This position is ideal for someone eager to build foundational skills in accounting while contributing to essential financial tasks.

Responsibilities:

- Distribute vendor invoice packets to appropriate personnel for review and approval.

- Process vendor invoices after obtaining necessary approvals.

- Monitor and report on significant expenses to support budgeting and financial planning.

- Assist in the monthly financial closing process to ensure timely reporting.

- Maintain organized accounting files and prepare documents for archiving.

- Collaborate with external auditors by providing necessary documentation during audits.

- Identify opportunities to enhance and streamline financial workflows.

- Support improvements to strengthen internal controls.

- Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.

Requirements - Familiarity with accounts payable (AP) processes.

- Experience in bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.

- Understanding of accounts receivable (AR) procedures.

- Knowledge of general accounting entries and principles.

- Strong organizational skills for file management and document preparation.

- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external auditors.

- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
