Job SummaryECTC is seeking an Admissions Counselor I for the TRIO Upward Bound Math & Science (UBMS) program. The UBMS program assists first‑generation, low‑income high school students in preparing for college and careers in STEM. The successful candidate will provide student services to program participants, collaborate with the UBMS Program Director, and help the program meet grant objectives for a five‑year, renewable grant ending 2027.
Responsibilities- Assist with facilitation, curriculum development, and implementation of all UBMS grant activities, including the Summer Academy.
- Plan and deliver direct student services and workshops to meet participants' educational, social, emotional, and cultural needs.
- Recruit program participants, conduct open houses, and engage parents.
- Collect, analyze, and maintain student data databases, transcripts, report cards, test scores, and contact logs for grant reporting.
- Create student files for case management and develop Individual Academic Plans with directors, students, parents, and high‑school personnel.
- Build internal and external relationships with faculty, staff, administrators, students, high schools, and community partners.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in education, leadership, math, science, or related field and at least one year of relevant experience. A valid driver’s license is required to lead outreach events in the community.
Preferred QualificationsExperience working with first‑generation or low‑income student populations, familiarity with STEM education initiatives, and prior grant‑related administrative experience.
