Job SummarySomerset Community College's Career and Technical Department invites applications for part-time CDL Instructor positions. This part-time position will be responsible for CDL-A range and road instruction, monitoring and documenting student progress and attendance.
Job DutiesProvide instruction so the students are well-educated and able to pass their written CDL-A permit test, as well as their skills and road tests.
Emphasize safety concepts, principles and procedures.
Help ensure that the trucks are safe, clean and well maintained.
Two (2) years of over-the-road experience with a standard transmission.
Class-A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Teaching experience
Additional Skills RequestedMust be able to work as part of a team and must value collaboration; posses good teaching and organization skills; able to communicate effectively both in verbal and written expression; and possess an educational philosophy that is compatible with the mission of the community college.
