Excellent opportunity to join a leading automotive manufacturer that produces precision rubber and plastic components supplied to major automotive OEMs across North America. They are seeking a Quality Engineer to join their growing team and play a critical role in maintaining world-class quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. This is a highly visible position that works closely with Production, Engineering, Customers, and Suppliers to ensure products consistently meet customer expectations while driving continuous quality improvements.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving manufacturing quality issues, working directly with customers, and implementing long-term corrective actions rather than simply reacting to problems.

• Support customer and supplier quality activities throughout the manufacturing process.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis using methodologies such as 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Why.
• Complete PPAPs, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and other Automotive Core Tools documentation.
• Monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) and process capability.
• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
• Perform mechanical inspections utilizing CMMs, optical comparators, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Conduct supplier audits and support customer scorecards.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production to improve manufacturing quality and reduce defects.
• Support new product launches and APQP activities.
• Help mentor Quality Inspectors and Technicians while serving as a technical resource across the plant.

• 2+ years of Automotive Quality Engineering experience
• Experience with in automotive manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and other Automotive Core Tools
• Experience working directly with customers and suppliers
• Ability to interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Plastic or rubber manufacturing

• Automotive sealing systems
• CMM and Optical Comparator experience
• IATF 16949
• ASTM Standards
• APQP
• Supplier Quality
• Statistical analysis and capability studies
