Position Summary:
The Medication Reconciliation Technician provides distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the registered pharmacist. Responsible for collecting accurate home medications lists for all inpatients.
- Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems
- Fills medication carts on a daily basis
- Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department.
- Repackages bulk medications
- Collects accurate home medications lists for all inpatients
- Deliver medication to the proper patient care areas in an accurate and timely manner and within established guidelines
What we are looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be registered with the State Board of Pharmacy, upon hire or within 90 days of employment in position per state guidelines or be actively enrolled in a College of Pharmacy
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred
- Three years hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
