Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Liaison will be responsible for assessment, coordination of services, and ongoing collaboration for families served by the Department of Community Based Services (DCBS) affected by substance use disorder. In collaboration with DCBS, the Clinical Liaison will participate as a key part of the interdisciplinary team and act as a consultant to DCBS in cases featuring parental addiction. The role includes providing assessments and recommendations for care, linking to treatment, participating in prevention planning, attending court appearances, family team meetings, and coordinating case management with treatment providers and DCBS workers/supervisors.

Daily operations and crisis intervention support may be required, with some on-call and after-hour requirements.

Required Qualifications

The position requires a minimum of a Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field and the accompanying certification (CSW, MFT, LCPA), with preference given to an LCSW, LPCC, and/or CADC with an addiction focus. A two-year experience working with individuals affected by behavioral health and substance use issues is required. Individuals with a Bachelor’s degree with a TCADC will be considered.

The role requires demonstrated ability to provide clinical services, along with communications, social casework, and familiarity with KY Medicaid billing. Knowledge and experience in cognitive behavioral therapies, motivational interviewing, and twelve-step facilitation skills are preferred, as well as the ability to work with mental illness, addiction, and related health issues. The candidate should be able to train and supervise Social Work Interns and apply agency policies and procedures.
