Our growing manufacturing client has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic HR Generalist
. We are seeking candidates who enjoy rolling up their sleeves, partnering with leaders, and being a trusted resource for employees. Reporting to the HR Manager, this role provides hands‑on HR support for operations and serves as a strategic trusted HR partner for both hourly and salaried employees. The HR Generalist’s main focus will be supporting people‑first initiatives and ensuring smooth HR operations in a fast‑paced, production‑driven environment.
- Provide positive employee relations support with thorough and timely follow‑up
- Partner with plant leadership on workforce planning, staffing needs, and shift coverage
- Coordinate hourly and salaried recruiting, including plant tours, interviews, and onboarding
- Assist with investigations, develop corrective actions, and facilitate conflict resolution
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including FLSA, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, and EEOC requirements
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
- Assist with performance management, training, and skill development initiatives
- Serve as the backup to the payroll associate
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2–3 years of HR experience in mid to large scale manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of employment law
- Experience coaching team members and leadership to cultivate a positive, thriving work culture
- Being present on the production floor and engaging directly with employees and supervisors
- The general schedule will be 8a – 5p Monday – Friday but will need flexibility to be available on varying shifts as needed
