Overview
General Purpose Utility Operator
Pay: $20.60/hour (+ $1.00/hour night shift differential)
Shift & Schedule- 12-hour shifts | 2-2-3 rotating schedule
- Day Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
- Night Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Position typically starts on night shift
- Weekend work (Saturday & Sunday) required
- Mandatory overtime is a condition of employment
- Overtime paid at 1.5x for all hours over 40/week
- Competitive base pay of $20.60/hour
- $1.00/hour night shift differential
- Overtime pay at time and a half

This is a hands-on utility role supporting production and maintenance teams across the plant. You’ll observe, learn, and perform a wide variety of tasks, often serving as a relief or backup operator while gaining experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with production and maintenance tasks throughout the plant
- Operate or attend auxiliary production equipment, including:
- Brushing machines
- Die cast machines
- Dinking tools
- Material regrind equipment
- Help prepare, stage, and deliver process supplies
- Learn and perform forklift operation duties as needed
- Support plant operations through additional assigned tasks and basic clerical work
- Follow all safety procedures and work under the direction of experienced team members
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts (days or nights)
- Willingness to work weekends and mandatory overtime
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior sit-down forklift experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work under close supervision and follow safety protocols
- Strong reliability, teamwork, and willingness to learn
