Job Description
Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
HoursFull-time, 1st shift Monday to Friday, from 6:00am to 2:30pm. Overtime as needed.
About the companyCompany provides custom fabrication for sheet metal, tubing, and wire components. Manufacturing service for large volume clients through highly trained staff, advanced manufacturing technology, on-time delivery, and competitive pricing.
About the jobMaintain production and quality for precision sheet metal fabricator facility by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. This requires working with others in the company including department supervisors and purchasing.
Responsibilities- Preventive maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment: press brakes, spot welders, lasers, NC turret presses, and production machines following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment as needed.
- Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components.
- Disassemble machinery and equipment when there is a problem.
- Test malfunctioning machinery to determine whether major repairs are needed.
- Detect minor problems by performing basic diagnostic tests.
- Clean and lubricate equipment or machinery.
- HS diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of machinery maintenance in a manufacturing company.
- Technical understanding is required.
- Solid knowledge of press brakes, spot welders, lasers, NC turret presses and production machines.
- Solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Must be able to read blueprints and technical schematics.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to solve a problem.
- Ability to thrive in an evolving, fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs., occasionally up to 50 pounds and more.
Experience in metal shop production.
Basic computer knowledge.
