Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Clinic Float
Position:
Float LPN in a busy clinic setting serving Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Residency Clinic, and a walk‑in clinic.
Schedule:
Days 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Full Time.

Applicants should have:
- A current state LPN license or multistate compact license and an associate degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Knowledge of ICD‑9, ICD‑10, CPT codes, insurance benefits, and healthcare backgrounds.
- Under the direction of an RN, you will contribute to patient assessment by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
- Perform plan‑of‑care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
- May administer medication.
- Document patient care, assist the RN with plan‑of‑care development, and assist patients with activities of daily living (personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
- Monitor and communicate patient status and reactions to interventions with the RN, physician, patient, and families.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient, schedule appointments and procedures, and obtain insurance re‑authorizations as requested.
- Attend clinic meetings, maintain a clean and safe working environment, report incidents/hazards, and complete safety instructional programs.
- Assist other team members when time permits.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain within 30 days after hire.
- Language skills:
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
