Licensed Practical Nurse; LPN Expanded Practice Medical Surgical

Night Shift – Full Time (6:30/7:00) Rotating Weekends

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, part of the Lifepoint Health network, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care on night shifts. Your experience will be valuable in delivering high‑quality care to our diverse patient populations.

• Provide direct patient care under supervision and delegation of a registered nurse, following scope and practice standards.
• Assist in patient assessment by collecting data for review by an RN.
• Implement plan of care interventions, including specimen collection, wound care, and medication administration as needed.
• Document all patient care activities accurately.
• Support RN in developing and revising care plans.
• Assist patients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, nutrition, elimination, and ambulation.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physicians, patients, and families.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education initiatives.
• Provide quality care and work flexible shifts/units as required.
• Maintain reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Patient Populations Served:
  Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.
• Protected Health Information Accessed:
  Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.
• Exposure:
  Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens present for all employees.
• Physical Requirements:
  
  Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, repetitive hand/arm movements; exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current LPN license in the state of practice.

• BCLS required.
