Registered Nurse, Float Pool

Position Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) Float Pool with a $20,000 two‑year commitment bonus (one‑year night commitment required). Nights | Full Time | 6:30–7:00 | Rotating Weekends.

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process within applicable scope and standards across multiple inpatient units.
• Float where needed and collaborate with interprofessional teams to support safe, high‑quality care.
• Perform plan‑of‑care interventions (medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and related medical care).
• Document care provided in a timely, accurate manner.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assist with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Display initiative and flexibility to float throughout the building to support departments and staff.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual support).
• Assess learning needs; provide age‑ and culture‑appropriate patient/family education.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients.
• Participate in performance improvement and required education; work other shifts/units as needed and may take on‑call assignments.

• Associate’s degree in nursing required; bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• 1–2 years minimum bedside RN experience; 2–4 years critical care experience preferred.

• Current RN license in state of practice.
• BCLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred;
  Handle with Care preferred.

• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in stressful environments.
• Rapid learning and navigation of multiple clinical software systems.
• Effective English communication (read, write, speak, and understand).
• Complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.
• Complete a Cardiac Rhythms Test within 30 days of hire.
