Registered Nurse (RN) – Hematology & Oncology

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital (LCRH), part of Lifepoint Health, is looking for a full‑time RN to provide direct patient care in its Hematology & Oncology unit.

Schedule:

Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm. No weekends or holidays.

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with the scope and standards of practice.
• Plan and implement patient care, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Document patient care activities, monitor and record patient condition, and communicate findings to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living—personal hygiene, nutrition, elimination, and ambulation.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
• Evaluate learning needs and provide patient/family education tailored to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients.

• Associate’s degree in nursing (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license to practice in Kentucky.
• BCLS certification.
• Critical‑thinking skills, decisiveness, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience in hematology‑oncology preferred; training will be provided if needed.
• Strong attention to detail, especially in managing infusion orders and medication schedules.
