Position: Travel Registered Nurse - PICU - $2,074 per week

    Job Details

  • Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is a 295-bed acute care facility providing healthcare services for an 11-county service area in south central Kentucky.
  • The hospital offers cardiac care and an advanced neurosurgery program with Spine Center accreditation.
  • Employs more than 1,200 healthcare professionals and support personnel with over 170 physicians representing 38 medical specialties.
  • Position is for RN in Pediatrics unit, specifically PICU.
  • Unit has 8 beds with patient ratios of 3:1 or 4:1 depending on acuity.
  • Common diagnoses include failure to thrive, hyperbilirubinemia, bronchiolitis, RSV, respiratory distress, nausea/vomiting, and post-operative care for tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy (T&A).
  • Role requires strong assessment skills, ability to multitask, and self-motivation.

    Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Pediatrics specialty.
  • Required certifications: PALS, NRP, BLS.
  • Must have Registered Nurse License in Kentucky.

    Schedule Information

  • Shift length: 12 hours.
  • Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
  • Weekend requirement: 2 weekend shifts per month (Friday night and Saturday night considered weekends).
  • Float requirements include mother/baby well baby unit.

  • Unit:
    Pediatrics (PICU)
  • Number of beds: 8
  • Patient ratios: 3:1 or 4:1 depending on acuity
  • EHR system:
    Meditech
  • Patient population:
    Pediatrics, newborn to 17 years
  • Float requirements include mother/baby well baby unit
  • Common diagnoses: failure to thrive, hyperbilirubinemia, bronchiolitis, RSV, respiratory distress, nausea/vomiting, post-operative care T&A

    Additional Details

  • Orientation is weekly on Mondays.
  • Candidates must be 60 miles or greater to be considered Travel.
  • Dress code:
    Royal Blue scrubs.
  • No unacceptable attire specified.
