Join our team as a Licensed Practical Nurse Float Pool where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team of Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). You will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.
Established in 1976, Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital has provided quality healthcare to area residents for over 40 years. LCRH is a 295-bed acute care facility, providing healthcare services for an 11-county service area in south central Kentucky.
As supervised and delegated by a Registered Nurse, it provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication.
Documents patient care provided.
Assists RN with development of plan of care.
Assist patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Monitors, documents, and communicate patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and family.
Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Exposure:
Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens is present for all employees.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.

Graduate of accredited LPN program.
License: /
Certifications:
Current LPN license in state of practice.
1- 2 years minimum bedside RN experience required
BCLS required;
Handle with Care preferred.
