Job Summary & Essential FunctionsProvides direct and indirect patient care in the Recovery/Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Meets the physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs of patients and families.
Communicates effectively with all members of the healthcare team regarding changes in patient condition or response to treatment. Reports to the Director of Surgery.

Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens is present; may involve contact with patients, blood, body fluids, or specimens.
Physical RequirementsFrequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.

Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing required (current RN licensure accepted in lieu of degree);
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
License /
Certifications:
Current RN license in state of Kentucky or a current multistate license. BLS required; ACLS and PALS within 1 year of hire.
