Commitment Bonus: $15,000 two-year commitment of employment

Days | Full Time | 6:30/7:00 | Rotating Weekends

Join our team is a Registered Nurse Medical Surgical RN where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team of Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). You will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Established in 1976, Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital has provided quality healthcare to area residents for over 40 years. LCRH is a 295-bed acute care facility, providing healthcare services for an 11-county service area in south central Kentucky.

How you'll contribute

  • Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.

  • Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.

  • Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

  • Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.

  • Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.

  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

  • Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.

  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

    Additional Information

    • Exposure:
      Regular occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens and hazardous materials.

    • Physical Requirements:

      Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements

What are we looking for:

Education:

  • Associate's degree in nursing required, bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

License: /Certifications:

  • Current RN license in state of practice

  • BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.
