Howyou'll contribute
- As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.
- Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
- Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication.
- Documents patient care provided.
- Assists RN with development of plan of care.
- Assist patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Monitors, documents, and communicate patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and family.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- I participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
- Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

ExposureOccupational exposure to blood borne pathogens is present for all employees.
Physical RequirementsFrequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.
