American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatrics position requiring PALS, NRP, BLS certifications and a minimum of 3 years of experience.

• Work in the Pediatric Care Unit of a 295-bed acute care hospital
• 8-bed unit caring for patients from newborn to 17 years old
• Patient ratios of 3:1 or 4:1 depending on acuity
• Common diagnoses/treatments include failure to thrive, hyperbilirubinemia, bronchiolitis, RSV, respiratory distress, N/V, and post-operative T&A care
• Uses Meditech EHR system
• 12-hour night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Requires 2 weekend shifts per month (Friday night and Saturday night considered weekends)
• Floating required to mother/baby and well baby units

• Active RN license (KY or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: PALS, NRP, and BLS
• Minimum of 3 years of pediatric nursing experience required
• RN education required
• Self-motivated with strong assessment skills and ability to multitask

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients ranging from newborn to 17 years
• Facility offers cardiac care and an advanced neurosurgery program with Spine Center accreditation
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for travel rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
