Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Float LCMA Clinic

Position Overview

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Float Nurse – Family Practice, Lake Cumberland Medical Associates. Full Time – Monday to Friday – 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network committed to improving community health.

• Under the direction of an RN, assess patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
• Perform plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
• Administer medication as authorized.
• Document patient care provided.
• Assist RN in developing the plan of care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living: personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
• Schedule appointments and procedures as ordered by the provider.
• Obtain insurance re‑authorizations for testing and scheduled procedures.

• Attend clinic meetings.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Report all incidents, hazards, drug interactions, and initiate appropriate action.
• Complete safety instructional programs.
• Assist other team members when time permits.

• Graduate of an approved practical nursing program.
• Current LPN/PN license in good standing with the Kentucky Board of Health and Professions.
• BCLS certification within 30 days of hire.
