JOB GOAL:
To work with individual students and specialized groups with direct service on IEP’s, as well as provide response to intervention when appropriate. Consultation with general education staff and participation in TEAM meetings will be required. This position will be responsible for completing all Speech and Language testing at the building level.

• Works with students, 9-12 and supports in instructional and non-instructional settings.
• Completes any and all Speech and Language related testing related to the eligibility process under IDEA and Massachusetts State Regulations governing Students with Disabilities, shares information with TEAM, and supports implementation of recommendations to the greater staff.
• Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about the student as is expected of a fully licensed teacher/professional.
• Perform related duties as directed by the Principal, Director of Special Education.

Position Type: Full-time
Salary: $53,834 to $96,788 Per Year

• Massachusetts Certification as a Speech and Language Pathologist
• 3+ years of Experience as a SLP preferred
• Ability to work effectively with adults and students with special needs
• Good communications and interpersonal skills
• Skilled in the administration of any Speech and Language evaluative tools required in the eligibility process for Special Education

Reports to: Director of Special Education and Building Principal
Terms of: In accordance with the existing bargaining agreement with the Somerset EMPLOYMENT Teacher Association
Salary: In accordance with the existing bargaining agreement with the Somerset Teachers Bargaining Unit.
