JOB GOAL:

To work with middle school students assisting them with all academic assignments and daily routines.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 1.Works with middle a school student and support them in instructional and non-instructional settings.
• 2.Reinforces learning of materials or skills initially introduced by the classroom teacher.
• 3. Alerts the regular teacher to any problems or special information about the student.
• 4. Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of a fully licensed teacher.
• 5. Performs related duties as directed by the building principal.

• QUALIFICATIONS:
  
  1. Two years of College course work (48 credits) /AS Degree required or passing score (464) on the Para Pro Assessment
  2. Ability to work effectively with adults and students.
  3. Effective interpersonal communication skills
  4. Experience at the middle school level
  Recommended experience at the middle school level

  TERMS OF:
  In accordance with the existing bargaining agreement with the Somerset EMPLOYMENT Paraprofessional Bargaining Unit
  SALARY:
  In accordance with the existing bargaining agreement with the Somerset Paraprofessional Bargaining Unit.
