Position: Direct Support Professional - Residential Group Home - 30 hrs/wk - SIGN ON BONUS

Overview

2 Shifts Available

Saturday, Sunday, and Monday 11:15pm - 9:15am 30 hours.

Saturday 4pm-11:30pm, Wednesday 3pm-7:30pm, Thursday & Friday 2:30pm-11:30pm 30 hours.

Bristol Adult Resource Center (BARC) is a non-profit organization supporting adult individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities by providing them with Residential, Vocational, Recreation and Day Support Services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide opportunities for learning new skills and independence by working on individuals’ goals and plans.
  • Transport individuals to and from programs and activities.
  • Administer medications and treatments meeting all guidelines and accurate documentation.
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment where individuals are treated with dignity, respect, can exercise their rights and responsibilities and are protected from abuse or neglect.
  • Electronically record daily activities maintaining confidentiality and complying with all policies and procedures to protect the identity, medical, HIPAA information.
  • Obtain and maintain all required certifications and trainings (in person and online).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least age 18.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Physical Efforts
  • May include extended periods of standing, sitting, walking with occasional periods of stooping, crouching, kneeling.
  • Positions may require the ability to independently lift at least 25 pounds, push/pull varying weight (wheelchairs) or have to safely transfer ~35 pounds.
