Facilities Maintenance Worker

Our Lady of Peace Parish is seeking a reliable and hardworking Facilities Maintenance Worker to support the daily operations of its Parish buildings on all three campuses in Somerset/Swansea. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for its community.

• Perform daily cleaning and general maintenance of building facilities
• Lock and unlock buildings each day
• Prepare church and meeting rooms for services and events
• Gather and empty trash bins daily
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms regularly
• Notify the Maintenance Lead and/or Parish Office of supply needs and repair issues
• Assist with light groundskeeping: leaf removal, planting, weeding, and general upkeep

• Must participate in Diocesan Safe Environment Training and CORI background check
• Prior experience in building maintenance desirable
• Basic knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems in buildings desirable
• Familiarity with cleaning methods, products, basic carpentry, and painting
• Basic landscaping skills
• Physical ability to bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and stand/walk for extended periods
