Job Summary

To effectively demonstrate the following areas of responsibility by assisting the Facilities team in the service and maintaining of items related to the physical plant, under the direct supervision of the facilities manager.

Schedule

Typically, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Occasionally earlier starts, later endings, Saturday and Sunday work

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Perform all job operations in a safe manner in accordance with company safety policies.

Assist in maintaining for proper operation and appearance all buildings and grounds, including landscape and snow removal maintenance.

Assist in maintaining and help to service as necessary all warehouse production equipment.

Assist in responding to as necessary daily emergencies related to buildings and grounds to prevent work stoppage as well as building or property damage.

Assist in installation and/or maintenance for proper operation all HVAC, dust collection, compressed air, water, mechanical, electrical and fire suppression systems.

Meet with facilities manager to set each day's agenda of work to be performed.

Interact with the facilities manager to formulate Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.

Make recommendations on projects direction and how work can be accomplished in an efficient manner.

Institute recommendations along with the Facilities Manager's direction to complete special projects.

Be available for work outside of 1st shift and on weekends (scheduled and unscheduled) as needed but subject to cooperative agreement and state / federal laws.

Required Education & Experience

Vocational Schooling a Plus
Maintenance Background
Product knowledge
Comfortable using smartphone applications to access, update, and complete tasks within the company's maintenance management program.
Knowledge of company health and safety policies
Basic Carpentry, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Etc.
Forklift if required
Scissor-Lift
Power Tools
Hand Tools
Welding Experience (preferred, but not required)

Physical Demands

Must take and pass post-offer screening drug test, physical, Respirator fit test, and consent to a background check
Standing/Walking: 8 hours repetitive on feet on concrete floor
Stooping/Reaching/Bending: continuous to gather items and fabricate
Overhead Lift: up to 7 lbs. without assistance and up to 14 lbs. w/ assistance.
Lift/Grasp: with dominant hands and fingers up to 25 lbs. without assistance and up to 50 lbs. with assistance holding woodworking or steel components in fabrication
Carry/Grasp: with dominant hands and fingers up to 60 lbs. without assistance and up to 120 lbs. with assistance
Push/Pull: with dominant hands rolling carts of interior door products up to 600 lbs. without assistance and up to 1200 lbs. with assistance
Vision: must see near and far sighted
Hearing: must hear machinery sounds
