The Product Performance Data Solutions team within the Data organization at Disney Streaming (DS), a segment of Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer
. As a member of the Product Performance team, you will build foundational datasets from clickstream and quality of service telemetry data to enable multiple engineering and analytics teams to leverage data for key business decisions and to provide operational and analytical teams with the critical information necessary to scale the largest streaming service. The team seeks to grow with world-class Data Engineers who share enthusiasm for making a positive impact.

• Contribute to maintaining, updating, and expanding existing data pipelines in Python / Spark while maintaining strict uptime SLAs
• Architect, design, and code shared libraries in Scala and Python to abstract complex business logic and ensure consistent functionality across all data pipelines
• Work with tech stack including Airflow, Spark, Databricks, Delta Lake, Snowflake, Scala, Python
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to drive the success of Product Performance data and engage key business stakeholders
• Develop and document internal and external standards for pipeline configurations, naming conventions, partitioning strategies, and more
• Ensure high operational efficiency and data quality to meet SLAs and provide reliable, accurate data to engineering, data science, operations, and analytics teams
• Participate in agile/scrum ceremonies to collaborate and improve team processes
• Engage with customers to understand and prioritize innovative offerings and incremental platform improvements
• Maintain detailed documentation of work and changes to support data quality and governance requirements

Note: There will be no SPC for this role. Interview process: 4 rounds (1 with HM, 2 tech rounds, and a final with Product). We seek an expert in SQL, extensive experience with Scala, and a self-starter who can discover outcomes and articulate them to the business.

Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with Clickstream, user browse data are highly preferred.
