About the OpportunityA growing warehouse and distribution operation based in Bristol, Connecticut is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Manager to lead all operations of a 100,000-square‑foot warehouse and distribution center. This facility serves as the central distribution hub for multiple business channels, including retail, wholesale, e-commerce, and online sales.

Position OverviewThe Warehouse/Distribution Center Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and daily operations of the distribution center. This individual will oversee multiple operational departments, lead supervisors and warehouse teams, and drive operational efficiency. Reporting directly to executive leadership, this role plays a critical part in business operations while helping position the organization for continued growth.
Key Responsibilities Warehouse & Distribution Operations- Oversee the daily operations of a 100,000-square‑foot warehouse and distribution center
, ensuring efficiency, organization, inventory accuracy, productivity, and safety. - Manage inventory flow from receiving through storage, replenishment, fulfillment, and outbound shipping while maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy.
- Monitor operational performance, including productivity, labor utilization, fulfillment timelines, and workflow efficiency.
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase operational efficiency, improve inventory flow, and support future growth.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA‑compliant warehouse environment while ensuring company policies and safety standards are consistently followed.
- Lead 30+ warehouse employees across multiple operational departments, with continued organizational growth anticipated.
- Directly supervise department leads responsible for multiple warehouse and distribution center functions.
- Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and warehouse team members.
- Establish clear expectations and hold employees accountable for performance, attendance, productivity, and safety.
- Partner with executive leadership to support company growth initiatives and long‑term operational planning.
- Collaborate with retail, wholesale, e‑commerce, and online sales teams to ensure inventory availability and operational alignment across all business channels.
- Develop and monitor operational KPIs while analyzing labor, inventory, and productivity trends to drive continuous improvement.
- Provide recommendations regarding staffing, warehouse layout, equipment, technology, and operational processes to support future expansion.
- Deliver regular operational reporting and insights to executive leadership to support strategic decision‑making.
- Minimum of five (5) years of management experience in a warehouse, distribution center, logistics, or supply chain environment.
- Proven experience leading multiple departments and supervising managers or supervisors.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and distribution processes.
- Experience supporting retail, wholesale, e‑commerce, or multi‑channel fulfillment operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced and high‑volume distribution environment.
- Experience working within a rapidly growing organization.
- OSHA or warehouse safety certifications.
- Monday through Friday with typical operating from 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Evenings and weekends may be required to support inventory, special projects, or operational demands.
