Accounts Payable Clerk

Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Somerset, New Jersey. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of invoices and payments within a dynamic manufacturing environment. If you have a strong background in accounts payable and are detail-oriented, this opportunity is perfect for you.

A/P Responsibilities:

- Process invoices with accuracy, ensuring proper coding and compliance with company standards.

- Conduct regular check runs to ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers.

- Verify and reconcile invoice details, addressing any discrepancies promptly.

- Maintain organized and accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper approvals and documentation for payments.

- Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

- Monitor payment schedules and resolve any payment-related issues.

- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and insights.

- Continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounts payable operations.

Requirements

A/P Requirements

- Proven experience in accounts payable within a detail-oriented environment.

- Proficiency in coding invoices and processing payments.

- Familiarity with conducting check runs and managing payment schedules.

- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

- Knowledge of accounting software and tools.

- Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
