Compo under - 2nd Shift
Job Description
This 2nd shift Compo under role focuses on accurately preparing, mixing, and processing powders and liquid ingredients in a production environment that follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). You will measure and blend raw materials, operate compounding equipment, support food safety and quality standards, and document all work with precision while collaborating with a cross-functional team.
Responsibilities
+ Retrieve and verify raw ingredients according to batch instructions and production requirements.
+ Accurately weigh and measure ingredients using scales and other measuring equipment.
+ Mix various ingredients, including powders and liquids, following standard batch instructions and established procedures.
+ Identify solids that require melting and safely melt them using hot plates.
+ Identify ingredients that require dilution, perform appropriate dilution, and record all raw material usage.
+ Process products using liquid, powder, homogenizing, and spray dry methods of compounding.
+ Follow standard batch instructions to accurately weigh dyes and other substances into the equipment.
+ Check batch consistency and measure the viscosity of mixtures to ensure they meet required specifications.
+ Take batch samples and deliver them to the laboratory for testing and quality verification.
+ Maintain quality standards by verifying the weight and contents of raw materials before use.
+ Conduct in-process batch inspections and document all process events accurately and completely.
+ Follow all procedures, policies, and food safety guidelines throughout the compounding process.
+ Maintain accurate and timely documentation of work completed, including batch records and raw material usage.
+ Handle, blend, and stage raw materials in a safe and organized manner.
+ Adhere to GMP, safety, and sanitation protocols at all times.
+ Wear required uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing all job duties.
+ Collaborate with team members in a cross-functional environment to support production goals.
Essential Skills
+ 6 months to 1 year of compounding experience with powders and raw materials.
+ Experience handling raw materials and performing blending operations in a production setting.
+ Previous experience working in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) environment.
+ Strong commitment to following safety and sanitation protocols.
+ Ability to accurately measure and weigh ingredients using scales.
+ Ability to follow detailed batch instructions and standard operating procedures.
+ Capability to perform basic quality checks, including viscosity measurements and batch consistency checks.
+ Comfort working with hot plates and other compounding equipment.
+ Attention to detail and strong documentation skills for recording process events and raw material usage.
+ Ability to work the 2nd shift schedule, Monday through Friday.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in chemical manufacturing, mixing, or batch making is beneficial.
+ Familiarity with production environments that handle food, flavors, or fragrances is an advantage.
+ Background in GMP production or batch processing is preferred.
+ Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
Work Environment
This position operates in a team-based, cross-functional production environment that follows Good Manufacturing Practices and strict food safety, safety, and sanitation protocols. The role is on 2nd shift, typically from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. Work involves handling powders, liquids, and other raw materials, using scales, hot plates, and compounding equipment such as mixers, homogenizers, and spray dry systems.
You will wear a company-provided uniform and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while on the production floor. The environment emphasizes collaboration, adherence to procedures, and maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $57200.00 - $57200.00/yr.
