Assembly Process Engineer
Develop and document assembly processes using Lean Manufacturing methodologies. This will include complete documentation of the sequence of operation, standard times, material layout quality checks and process documentation.
Coordinate with supplier for test equipment that will be designed to test products assembled on the bench.
Qualify the test process with the supplier to assure the test process is robust verifying function and assuring no quality escapes.
Document the complete test process.
Train technicians on assembly and test process. Validate technicians on competency to assembly & test process.
2-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of lean processes, assembly to TAKT time.
Knowledge of bench build layout based on lean methodologies.
Ability to generate sequence of operations.
Monitor process and identify standard hours.
Identify opportunities to reduce assembly time and confirm no quality or assembly issues with any proposed changes.
Ability to generate project plan and monitor status. Recovery plans if required.
Ability to generate method instructions.
Ability to train technicians and validate on assembly & test process.
