Job Description:
QC Temporary Technician primary responsibilities are to complete testing and final Quality disposition decision on Quality Control Samples received through the use of approved SOP's.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the receipt of samples as they are logged into Quality Control.
- Analyze raw material, in-process, and finished product samples according to established SOP's
- Analyze raw material, in-process, and finished product samples via GC and GCMS according to established SOP's
- Retrieval and use of valid Quality Control retains as references.
- Files all retains at conclusion of sample testing cycle
- Prioritize / separate samples and organize their testing per established SOP's.
- Prepare micro samples for shipment per established SOP's for 3rd party testing
- Follows all Lab and Site safety and GMP rules. Maintains work area in a neat and organized manner and completes all paperwork correctly.
- Runs reports as needed.
- Runs flash points as needed
- Runs calibration as needed
- Perform other duties as required.
- Proven track record of providing practical analytical solutions to manufacturing related issues
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong interpersonal skills in order to liaison with Creative staff, and R&D on production related issues.
- Technically proficient in the following standard chemical procedures and physical measurements (wet chemistry): GC, GCMS, FTIR, HPLC,NMR, pH, acid value, peroxide value, oil content, water content, specific gravity, refractive index, Tg, optical rotation, salt content, solid content, color, ester value and other standard tests.
- Proficiency with MS Office:
Word, Excel and standard MS office software. - LIMS and/or SAP experience preferred.
- Associates degree or more advanced degree (preferably with experience in the following disciplines (Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Food Science, Food Chemistry, Microbiology, and Biochemistry).
