The Engineering VIE will provide support to IT team by performing inventory of all hardware infrastructure and of all software and applications, by putting in place dashboards to track IT tickets internal and external (EPROD, SAP,…), by supporting the upgrade of the servers and switches and by supporting the data team with implementation of new tools to improve Production outputs.
PROJECTS AND DELIVERABLES [Projects/teams the VIE will work on and what is expected to be completed by the end of the assignment]
- Inventory IT / Data hardware and software. Implementation of tools to track inventory to optimize spare parts management and cost. Plan obsolescence / replacement based on Safran Standards and OEM recommendations.
- Server Room upgrade: replacement of servers, switches, relocation of servers, reduction of overall heat output in the room.
- Data tool implementation : improve drift detection, implement SAE tools in Production with operators training.
SKILLS TO BE ACQUIRED/DEVELOPED IN POSITION :
- Proficiency in the following software:
Windows suite, Python. - Knowledge and ability to apply 5S:
Inventory, planification, cost optimization. - Knowledge and ability to apply Safran Ergonomy standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES [Key duties the VIE be responsible for, either solely or in coordination with others]
- Perform physical and software inventory
- Develop and implement tools to track inventory
- Define and plan replacement for IT systems
- Support servers upgrades :
- schedule intervention with subcontractors to limit impact on Production - ensure adherence to agreed scheduled - Implement and support new data tools to increase production efficiency
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES – Education/Knowledge/Skills :
- 1 years experience in IT hardware management (server, switches,)
- Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Project management for scheduling
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
- Ability to work well with all levels of the organization.
- English : technical vocabulary to support the activity

- Complies with all established policies and procedures
- Required to comply with all OSHA and EPA regulations related to these operations
