Reports To: Director of Instructional Services
Purpose Statement: The Test Coordinator oversees district and state assessment programs; ensures accurate administration, test security, compliance with state and federal requirements, and effective use of student achievement data to support instructional decision‑making; provides training, technical support, data analysis, and communication to ensure successful assessment implementation and reporting.
Essential Functions- Analyze and interpret student achievement data to identify trends, patterns, and key findings; communicate results to administrators for data‑driven instructional decision‑making and program improvement.
- Collaborate with the Instructional Services Director and site administration to develop and implement procedures and timelines for administering state and district assessments, ensuring standardized, efficient, and compliant testing practices in alignment with district, state, and federal requirements.
- Collaborate with the Instructional Services Director, EL specialist, and site administration regarding placement of EL students in appropriate SEI courses, ensuring placement decisions align with state assessment data, language proficiency levels, and district academic requirements.
- Coordinate all district and state‑mandated assessments, including preparation and distribution of required parent notifications for AASA and EL identification, placement, reclassification, and assessment results, ensuring compliance with district, state, and federal requirements.
- Coordinate and maintain state/district testing systems and platforms (e.g., PAN, ADE systems, Synergy), ensuring accurate student data, test assignments, and reporting integrity.
- Coordinate and monitor MOWR compliance by collaborating with director and site administrators, reviewing and collecting literacy plans, and ensuring required documentation and processes are implemented.
- Coordinate MOWR summer school and assessment processes, supporting targeted instructional opportunities, addressing learning gaps, and ensuring compliance with state literacy requirements.
- Ensure all students are tested appropriately, including coordinating accommodations and submitting appeals as needed regarding mandated requirements for both language and achievement tests, maintaining compliance and equitable evaluation.
- Gather, monitor, analyze, and interpret assessment data for accurate reporting, identifying trends, complying with requirements, and informing district and site‑level decision making.
- Monitor district and state testing implementation and manage testing materials, access, and documentation, ensuring compliance and maintaining test security and integrity.
- Monitor student enrollment and testing eligibility, ensuring all students are assessed within required timelines and data systems remain accurate.
- Participate in meetings, trainings, conferences, and seminars to convey or gather required information.
- Prepare and present written materials and reports (e.g., student assessment scores, EL reports, graphs and charts) to inform administrators, teachers, and stakeholders; support data‑driven decision‑making and comply with state and district reporting requirements.
- Respond to inquiries from teachers, emails, phone calls, etc., resolving issues and providing information.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate staff on proper testing security, administration, and monitoring procedures to ensure standardized testing conditions, maintain test integrity, and ensure compliance with state and district regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the Instructional Services Department.
