Casino Cashier
Under the immediate supervision of the Casino Cage Shift Lead, the Casino Cashier is responsible for a window bank containing various denominations of currency and coins. Complete transactions for customers and internal operations. Other job-related duties as assigned.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Processes, verifies, and countersigns hand-paid jackpots.
- Processes, verifies, and countersigns blackjack fills/credits.
- Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
- Properly handle the cashing of personal checks, payroll checks, and traveler's checks.
- Properly assist customers redeeming vouchers, blackjack chips, coupons, etc.
- Prepare all cage currency, coins, and documentation for end-of-shift inventory.
- Will perform other position requirements as assigned by the Cage Lead, Cage Manager, or Floor Manager.
- Must understand and comply with departmental internal control regulations.
- Casino operation is 24/7; must be able to work all shifts.
Qualifications:
- All applicants must be 18 years of age.
- Successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment, ongoing random drug testing.
- Must be certifiable through the Arizona Department of Gaming / Tribal Gaming Office.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Must have excellent math and organizational skills.
Education and/or experience:
- Associate's degree in a related field or trade school, professional or technical certification, specialized training preferred.
- 1-year equivalent to at least CS-2, 6-months specialized work experience, 2-years work experience in a related field, or 2-years general or supervisory work experience.
- Must have at least 1 year of cash handling experience.
- Customer service experience preferred.
Physical demands:
Applicants must be of good physical health, as this job requires standing and lifting of heavy objects.
