Public Consulting Group LLC (PCG) is a leading public sector solutions implementation and operations improvement firm that partners with health, education, and human services agencies to improve lives. Founded in 1986, PCG employs approximately 2,000 professionals throughout the U.S. PCG is seeking a senior-level consultant to expand our school‑based Mental and Behavioral Health Services (MBHS) practice. The role involves building relationships with state and local education leaders, driving new revenue, and leading complex projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute growth strategies, identifying and following up on new sales opportunities.
  • Lead proposal writing teams and prepare written reports and materials for clients.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with senior education leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders.
  • Support product roadmap and development of features for PCG’s MBHS technology, EDPlan Health - MBHS.
  • Lead clients during sales demos and strategic implementations of the technology.
  • Advise clients on best practices, state/federal regulations, and business operations for service and efficiency improvements.
  • Develop communication plans, elicit requirements from key stakeholders, and facilitate client discussions.
  • Identify gaps in the MBHS technology solution and determine necessary workarounds.
  • Serve as the overall Account Executive for existing and prospective clients.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members.
  • Assess MBHS best practices and provide technical assistance to clients.
  • Act as client manager, independently managing complex projects, staff, and tasks while maintaining client interaction.
  • Collaborate effectively with senior managers on cross‑functional initiatives to advance PCG’s broader education practice goals.

  • Research, analyze, and interpret policy, legal briefs, and regulations.
  • Understanding of federal and state funding streams and how to maximize financial resources.

  • Ability to work independently and consistently achieve excellent results.
  • Outstanding oral and written presentation skills, and strong interpersonal skills for effective relationship building.
  • Lead and assist in the direction of the sales process of PCG’s MBHS products and services.
  • Project management skills, proven ability to take initiative, and move projects forward within specific timelines and budgets.
  • Commitment to exceptional client service and dedication to accomplishing goals.
  • Flexible, self‑starter possessing intellectual curiosity.
  • Enthusiasm for lifelong learning and staying well-informed about current business issues.

  • Strong skills in interpersonal communication, presentation, negotiation, analysis, critical thinking, attention to detail, and multitasking.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or 10 years’ experience required; graduate degree preferred.
  • 5–10 years’ work experience with consulting, business development, or client relationship management related to MBHS Policy, MBHS Information Systems, and/or MBHS Technology.
  • Experience in information technology, finance/business operations, K‑12 education, and school‑based MBHS support is highly desirable.
  • Willingness and ability to travel across the U.S. to engage with clients and represent PCG at key events.
Supervisory
  • Supervision of a small, growing team.
Working Conditions
  • Office setting.
  • Some travel required.
Compensation

Compensation for roles at PCG varies based on location, role, skill set, and experience. A reasonable range is $88,900 – $120,000. Benefits include medical and dental care, 401(k), paid time off, parental leave, and bereavement leave.
