We’re growing in the Far North Coast / Northern Rivers region and have an exciting role on offer for either a Cadet Building Inspector OR experienced Building Surveyor/Certifier/Inspector.

If you're passionate about construction and want to launch a long‑term career in building certification, this is the perfect place to start.

No previous experience in certification needed (a trade background is ideal).

Learn on the job with the support of our experienced certifiers.

Start the UTS Open Short Course and enrol in an Advanced Diploma of Building Surveying.

Gain hands‑on inspection experience as you build towards registration.

If you’re already registered with NSW Fair Trading (Class 1 & 10), we’d love to hear from you. You’ll work across a variety of residential projects and use your knowledge to deliver high‑quality certification services.

We’re looking for people who can:

• Conduct critical stage inspections and issue compliance certificates.
• Carry out construction, complying development and occupation certificate assessments.
• Provide clear, confident advice to clients.
• Investigate and resolve certification requests.

• A current NSW Fair Trading registration (A3 or A4), or you're on your way there.
• A White Card and a solid understanding of site safety.
• A trade background would be highly advantageous.
• Great communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Confidence using tech (we use Apple products, but any experience is welcome!).
• A driver's licence and full Australian working rights.
• A practical, proactive approach with a strong attention to detail.
