Prospect Hill Academy Charter School is looking for qualified Special Education teachers to provide Extended School Year Services in our Summer Scholars Club. The program will run from June 29 - July 31
, Monday - Thursday, 8:30am - 12:30pm.
The teachers’ work day will be 8:15am - 12:45pm. Prep time will either be included in the 8:15am - 12:45pm time frame or will be compensated.
- (2) Virtual session, 3:30 - 5:00 pm, dates TBD
- (1) In-person session at Early Childhood Campus, 8:00 - 3:30, TBD
- Demonstrated track record of effective small group specialized instruction for students with mild-moderate special education needs
- Ability to analyze student learning data collected from daily instructional work, in order to monitor progress and adapt teaching
- Ability to support students with productive struggle and personal goal setting
- Ability to communicate with families about progress
- Ability to be reliable and responsible at all times
- Ability to complete Special Education progress reports at the end of the summer program
- Must hold valid and current MA DESE certification as a Special Educator
- Experience teaching a structured phonics program preferred (Orton-Gillingham or Wilson)
