Position Overview

Family Engagement Program Support Specialist – Early Head Start

Riverside Community Care invites you to join the Riverside Early Head Start (REHS) team to strengthen connections between families and the program. The role focuses on supporting and facilitating socialization groups, parent education sessions, and adult education opportunities. Additional duties include assisting with family services, program operations, and home visiting with a small caseload.

Through group facilitation, program support, and family engagement activities, the specialist promotes healthy growth and development by providing health, nutrition, early childhood and parenting education, social services, and problem‑solving support to families who meet income and categorical eligibility guidelines established by the federal government.

Full Time – Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Rates vary based on education and bilingual skills:

• High School Diploma: $20.00 /hour
• High School Diploma with bilingual skills: $20.96 /hour
• Associate's Degree: $21.44 /hour
• Associate's Degree with bilingual skills: $22.40 /hour
• Bachelor's Degree: $22.18 /hour
• Bachelor's Degree with bilingual skills: $23.14 /hour

• Proficient computer fluency, including Microsoft Office and data-based systems
• Experience with Child Growth and Development, Infant Toddler Growth and Development, and curriculum planning portal is preferred
• Ability to prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, and plan for additional individualized child and family resources while ensuring successful completion of child and family specific goals and objectives
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travel to family homes
• Must receive background check clearance for CORI, SORI, Finger Printing, and Department of Children and Families

• High School Diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field is preferred; CDA credential equivalent acceptable
• Experience with young children and their families is preferred
