This position is a Special Education AIM Teacher focused on serving students diagnosed with Autism. The teacher works within a program anchored in Applied Behavior Analysis, delivering discrete trial instruction, small group activities, and one‑to‑one support to develop communication, social, and academic skills.
Students receive individualized programming that may include behavior management, social skills, functional academics, daily living skills, speech and language, sensory integration, motor skills, and vocational training. Inclusion opportunities are tailored to each student’s strengths and needs, with participation in school community activities such as lunch, fine arts, and physical education.
The position requires coordinating instructional goals with family teams to promote skill generalization across settings. The teacher will collaborate with a Program Director, BCBA, and consulting staff to create a supportive, structured learning environment.
Work Year: 209 days – 184 school days plus 25 additional days including summer programs.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities- Plan units and lessons and deliver instruction aligned to state standards and district curriculum.
- Provide ongoing formative and summative assessments, analyze data to determine student learning needs.
- Adapt curriculum and instruction for diverse learning strengths and needs.
- Establish and maintain culturally responsive, two‑way communication with parents, guardians, and caregivers.
- Collaborate with other educators to deliver specialized instruction and social/emotional support.
- Follow guidance from the School Principal and district administrators to maintain a safe, welcoming, culturally affirming, and equitable environment.
- Participate in professional growth opportunities, reflect on current practices, and incorporate new methodologies into instructional planning and delivery.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal or Supervisor in accordance with the SEU Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Appropriate Department of Elementary and Secondary Educator’s license (Special Education).
- DESE SEI endorsement required.
- Bilingual educator preferred.
- Frequent walking, standing, and navigating stairs.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects ranging from 10 to 30 lbs.
- Bending, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and reaching to assist students.
- Capacity to remain in a stationary position (sitting/standing) for extended periods.

$72,256 to $141,147 (salary per CBA schedule)
