The ADA Forsyth Institute was founded in 1910 as the Forsyth Dental Infirmary for Children and has evolved into the world’s leader in oral health research. In October 2023 it became the ADA Forsyth Institute, a 501(c)(3) entity dedicated to improving oral and overall health through basic research, translational science, innovative clinical technologies, and global public health outreach.

The Institute invites applications for faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. We seek exceptional, creative scientists whose work can shape the future of oral, dental, and craniofacial research.

Research Focus Areas

• Microbiology and the oral microbiome
• Inflammation and immunology
• Craniofacial biology and bioengineering

Applicants who conduct highly innovative basic, translational, clinical, or interdisciplinary research within these areas are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead an outstanding scientific research program and secure external funding.

• Produce impactful scholarship and publish regularly.

• Mentor students and trainees, fostering their development.

• Collaborate with colleagues and advance the Institute’s mission, reputation, and success.

Minimum Qualifications

• Hold a PhD, DMD, MD, DDS, or equivalent doctoral degree.

• Demonstrate a record of external funding, impactful publications, and national or international recognition.

• Exhibit excellence in mentorship, scientific leadership, and a commitment to interdisciplinary research.

Salary

$100,000 - $170,000 dependent on faculty level
