The Instructional Coach fosters a culture of reflective practice, data-informed decision-making, and shared accountability for student outcomes, working to ensure all students have access to rigorous, engaging, and standards-aligned learning experiences.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Design and facilitate ongoing coaching cycles with teachers that include goal-setting, co-planning, modeling, observation, and feedback;
  • Build trusting, growth-oriented relationships with teachers to support reflective practice and continuous improvement;
  • Provide coaching and collaborative planning support to teachers, promoting culturally responsive and equitable instructional practices for students with diverse learning needs, including multilingual learners and students with disabilities;
  • Use student data, classroom observations, and teacher input to tailor coaching support;
  • Differentiate coaching approaches to meet the needs of novice and veteran educators;
  • Work collaboratively with the school principal in the planning and implementation of instructional priorities and initiatives through coaching;
  • Serve as an active member of the school’s ILT and participate in regular leadership meetings to analyze data, identify trends, and determine strategic actions;
  • Support the development and execution of the school’s instructional vision and School Improvement Plan alongside other ILT members;
  • Support teachers and teams in analyzing student work and assessment data to inform instruction;
  • Promote the use of formative assessment practices to guide real-time instructional adjustments;
  • Collaborate with the K-8 Curriculum Coordinators to support curriculum alignment and instructional coherence across grades and content areas;
  • Provide feedback to district teams on curriculum implementation, strengths, and areas for refinement as a generalist instructional coach;
  • Support educators in implementing tiered interventions by consulting with the Child Study Team (CST) upon request;
