Forward Deployed Engineer
We're working with a fast-growing, venture-backed startup based in Boston, MA that is transforming industrial manufacturing through AI and IoT-driven technology. This is a full-time opportunity for a Forward Deployed Engineer supporting deployments across the Food & Beverage sector. The company is building cutting-edge AI co-pilot models and sensor-based solutions that optimize factory performance, reduce waste, and drive sustainability across global production environments.
3 days per week onsite.

Required Skills & Experience
· Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field
· 1+ year of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or factory environment (food & beverage, chemicals, pharma, etc.)
· Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with customer stakeholders
· Exposure to industrial systems such as PLCs, sensors, or plant operations
· Willingness to travel up to 50%
Desired Skills & Experience
· Experience with industrial automation, Industry 4.0, or IoT technologies
· Familiarity with IT/OT systems, networking, or cloud integration
· Experience working with sensor or time-series data
· Background in process optimization or production environments
· Startup or high-growth environment experience
What You Will Be Doing
Tech Breakdown
· 40% Industrial Systems (PLCs, Sensors, IoT)
· 30% Data Analysis & Visualization
· 30% Cloud / IT-OT Integration
Daily Responsibilities
· 60% Hands On (on-site deployments, troubleshooting, implementation)
· 10% Management Duties (project coordination, pilot execution)
· 30% Team Collaboration (working with customers, sales, and internal teams)
