Job Description Summary

System Integration and Test (I&T) Engineer 1 serve as the system integrator for technologies and product lines developed using Draper's core capabilities. In this role they plan, execute, and manage I&T activities starting from early test concept development through system certification. This includes functional simulation, subsystem and system integration and test, verification and validation (V&V), performance evaluation, and acceptance testing. System I&T Engineers leverage multi-disciplinary engineering expertise and collaborate with other Systems Engineers to establish clear, verifiable, and traceable requirements, inform and drive system concepts, architectures, and designs to promote testability, and utilizes resident expertise and lessons learned to support the development of highly reliable, robust, and complex systems.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ability to independently complete assignments by applying technical knowledge to defined problems with minimal oversight.
  • Contribute content for technical reports and presentations with appropriate guidance.
  • Adapt appropriately to changes in program requirements.
  • Identify challenges associated with assigned work and communicate them to project leadership.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills/Abilities
  • Curiosity-driven approach to solving complex, industry and customer-driven problems as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively and openly with multi-disciplinary program team members, program leadership, and non-technical personnel
  • Be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to balance multiple competing tasks and demands.
Education

Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field.

Experience

0-3 years in Systems Engineering or relevant role.

Salary

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $62,500.00 - $. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Union ranges will be in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement's approved rates by location and role. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and does not include bonuses or benefits.
