Senior Accountant - Advisory

KBW has partnered with a Boston area Accounting and Finance Advisory Services Firm to identify a Senior Associate. This role requires a self‑motivated professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and can independently drive initiatives while supporting clients through financial challenges and organization transitions.

The Senior Associate will partner with clients—including but not limited to the CEO, CFO, accounting staff, private equity investment teams, and private equity portfolio support personnel.

• Support delivery of accounting and finance advisory services to clients across various industries
• Assist in managing client engagements from planning through execution and delivery
• Help maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service delivery

• Contribute to design, development, and implementation of accounting and finance processes and procedures
• GAAP remediation roadmaps for clients previously reporting under a cash basis of accounting
• Document procedures and train team members on new processes

• Perform complex journal entries and general ledger reconciliations, troubleshooting any issues that arise
• Maintain accuracy of general ledger accounts and supporting schedules
• Ensure proper documentation and support for all accounting entries
• Assess and reconcile different accounting systems, policies, and procedures
• Work as part of a team to consolidate financial statements across subsidiaries in Excel prior to ERP implementation

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA certification strongly preferred
• 3+ years of experience with a public accounting and corporate accounting background—or straight corporate industry experience (not open to straight public accounting profiles)
• Previous experience as a key contributor to the financial close
• Experienced and solid understanding of accounting software and ERP systems, including Quick Books
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and database management

Compensation: $100,000–$150,000 Base + Bonus
