The salary range for this position is $80,000.00 to $ annually.
Essential Functions- Track and analyze proposed legislation and regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Evaluate the impact of public policy changes on operations, finances, and strategic initiatives.
- Draft policy briefs, position statements, and regulatory comment letters.
- Develop and maintain relationships with elected officials, legislative staff, agency personnel, and healthcare associations.
- Coordinate leadership participation in advocacy efforts, including legislative meetings, hearings, and events.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, finance, and clinical departments to assess policy implications.
- Build alliances with community organizations, peer organizations, and advocacy groups to support common goals.
- Organize site visits, tours, and public affairs events for policymakers and partners.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree required;
Master’s Degree or Juris Doctor Law preferred.
Experience
- At least 3-5 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, legislative advocacy, or a related area required, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of healthcare systems, hospital operations, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., state agencies, CMS, HHS, ACA, Medicaid/Medicare).
- Strong political acumen and established relationships with key government stakeholders.
- Excellent research, writing, and presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently and in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
- This is a hybrid role with an on‑site presence at the office in Assembly Row at least once per month, plus additional travel to local events.
