Job DescriptionSupervises the physician affiliate office/department to ensure efficient, cost‑effective operations and high‑quality patient care. Reviews financial reports, billing practices, and scheduling to ensure appropriate physician and office reimbursement. Assists in the preparation of the annual budget and monitors expense reports and petty cash reconciliation. Processes invoices for payment in accordance with hospital policy. Tracks and prepares data reflecting turnaround time and test results.
Trains, develops, and assigns tasks to office staff, providing input for periodic and annual evaluations. Coordinates monthly staff meetings, maintaining minutes and attendance rosters. Ensures timely completion of employee competencies and manages department schedules for adequate staffing coverage. Interprets and enforces hospital and healthcare policies and procedures. Completes Time and Attendance records for employees as assigned. Maintains medical records in compliance with hospital, healthcare, and HIPAA standards.
Ensures office meets Safety and Infection Control standards and responds to concerns from physicians and staff. Other duties as assigned.
- Computer proficiency required in Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Must have knowledge of TJC requirements and local, state, and federal regulations.
- High School Grad or Equiv (required)
- Bachelor's (preferred)
In Business Administration, Healthcare, or related field
Work Experience- 2+ years experience as a lead role in a medical setting or other supervisory related role (required)
- Experience in management of multiple practices or specialty practices (preferred)

Licenses and Certifications- American Association Medical Assistants (CMA) (preferred)
- Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) (preferred)
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) (preferred)
- National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) (preferred)
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) (preferred)
- Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) (preferred)
- Certified Medical Office Manager (CMOM) (preferred)
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) (required)
