Senior IAM Engineer

MGB Digital is hiring a Senior Identity and Access Management Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support Mass General Brigham’s Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platforms. The position is full‑time with comprehensive benefits and a hybrid work model.

Overseeing provisioning, automation, integration with business applications, continual improvement, and on‑call support, the Senior IAM Engineer will be a key member of the IAM team, collaborating across MGB groups to deliver secure and efficient identity solutions.

What You’ll Do
  • Work within the team responsible for identity and access provisioning, automation, and integration of the IGA platform (Saviynt) with all digital services and applications.
  • Participate in continual improvement of services and proactively develop IGA solutions that meet the demands of new technologies and technical environments.
  • Act as an active member of the IAM team, partnering with other MGB groups to design and implement tools and processes that maintain identity and access management.
  • Support best practices and create an environment that fosters continuous IAM service delivery, optimization, and improvement.
  • Provide support for daily requests.
  • When assigned, monitor the IAM work request and incident queue through Service Now and assume responsibility for incoming requests.
  • Support the migration from a home‑built IGA platform to Saviynt and/or other IGA solutions.
  • Support the design, planning, and execution of the integration of Workday at MGB with our Identity Management platform.
  • Support all Cloud IAM efforts in support of MGB’s multi‑cloud strategy.
  • Help lead the IAM modernization project (3‑year) and execute all assigned tasks.
  • Occasional after‑hours and weekend work may be required.
  • Participate in IAM on‑call rotations and carry a cell phone 24/7.

  • Hands‑on experience with Enterprise IGA solution, preferably Saviynt or SailPoint, and JML experience integrating with systems like Workday, Azure, and Service Now.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT.
  • 2-5 years of experience in an Identity and Access Management role with an emphasis on Identity Governance Administration.
  • Experience with Saviynt or other IGA platforms preferred (SailPoint, Oracle, One Identity, Omada).
  • Healthcare experience helpful.
Skills for Success
  • Hands‑on experience designing, implementing, and deploying IGA solutions in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows and other operating systems such as Linux and Apple (MacOS and Linux).
  • Experience with modern IGA platforms (Saviynt, SailPoint, Oracle, etc.) to enable secure applications, data, and infrastructure for Cloud (Office 365, AWS, Azure, GCP, Salesforce, Workday) and enterprise solutions.
  • Working knowledge of administration integration and ticket processing in Service Now.
  • Knowledge of information security technologies.
  • Experience with handling and resolving customer issues or problems.
  • Exceptional communication skills, self‑directed learning, independence, and diligence in completing tasks.
  • Knowledge and experience of Cloud IAM features, functionalities, technologies, and techniques.
  • Ability to lead team members.
  • Successful ability to cross‑train less experienced engineers.
  • Lead meeting discussions.
Working Model Requirements
  • M‑F Eastern Business Hours Full Time required.
  • Hybrid model includes in‑person onsite work at MGB local sites, weekly or monthly, as determined by business needs.
  • Flexibility for weekly or monthly in‑person stakeholder meetings, team meetings, and internal customer needs.
  • On remote workdays, employees must use a stable, secure, and compliant workstation in a quiet environment. Teams video is required and must be accessed using MGB‑provided equipment.
